The James E. Walker at Middle Tennessee State University seeks an innovative, collaborative and student-centered individual to lead its Collection Development and Management (CDM) Department. The Head, CDM will help develop the vision for CDM operations in a changing environment and oversee policy development, strategic planning, assessment of collections, and CDM services to optimize user access to the library’s collections. This individual will work collaboratively to meet the information needs of MTSU students and faculty by providing strategic direction for the Acquisitions, Cataloging, Collection Development, Serials, and Special Collections units and ensuring coordinated efforts to assess and enhance access to quality collections.
An ALA-accredited Master’s degree and a minimum of five years, post-degree experience in an academic or research library are required for this position.
